MWD LALA M099 PEDD - Retired U.S. Air Force. MWD LALA began active service in November of 2008 and retired in May of 2015. He was stationed at Hickman Air Force Base in Hawaii. He was deployed to Manas AB, Kyrgzstan in 2010 (8 months) and 2012 (6 months). He turned 9 years old in November and is enjoying his retirement being loved and spoiled in PA with Anne & Mike Gibbs. MWD Lala continues to serve as an Ambassador for K9 Hero Haven spreading the word about Working Dogs

K9 Hero Haven has several K9 Ambassadors which assist us in our mission of educating the public and representing a variety of backgrounds for retired working dogs. These guys represent what we are about. They come from a wide variety of backgrounds from the military, police, border patrol, and contract dogs. Here is a brief snap shot of our team.

K9 Boris found 21 suspects who would never been identified without him. He located one missing person who was dying from hypothermia and blood loss. He found over 200 pounds of narcotics valued over 1.5 million dollars and found over $200,000 in drug money.
He was imported from Holland and came to work for Asheville PD and worked there from 2006-2015. He was a favorite around the area among not only Asheville PD, but other surrounding areas for his loving personality and keen nose.
We just love him and will give him the best golden retirement years. He is such a sweet and lovable dog. A huge snuggler. K9 Boris continues to serve as an Ambassador for K9 Hero Haven spreading the word about Working Dogs
